Description:

Layer 1: This game is similar to rock, paper, scissors.

The class is separated in two groups. Each group decides if they will be a giant, an elf, or a wizard. The giants chase the elves, the elves chase the wizards, and the wizards chase the giants. The wizards do a pointing hand movement, the giants raise their hands in the air, and the elves bend down.

Once they have decided, they all line up at the center of the playing field. They do: Giants, Wizards, Elves, and then the one they decided. The side that wins chases the other side before they get to their goal line.

 

MODIFICATIONS:

Always have a backup plan (a second figure), just in case the two groups decide that they are the same one.

 

SAFETY:

Remind the students about appropriate tagging. The students need a deceleration zone so the goal line should not be too close to the wall.
